Animations

I was wondering if anyone has made any Eureka animations. I find them a fun way to pass the time. Here are two I made from 2.10 "God Is in the Details."

I know that animations can be laggy on certain connections, so the displayed pictures are still "thumbnails." Click for the actual animation. biggrin

"Radiant"

Jack/Allison (because this moment is just too cute in slow motion!)

Feel free to post your own! wink

Those look good. What program did you use to make them? :D I know Nth has a few she might share.

I used VirtualDub for the screencaps and Photoshop Elements for the animation. It's a rather old-school method that requires pasting each screencap as an individual layer (frame). In this case, I also added a border to each, so that was more work, but I think it's fun, though, because I like looking at them afterwards. biggrin

Oh, lovely! There are some really priceless Eureka moments. wink

When he reached out for her it was almost like her remembered being her husband. I thought it was interesting that she's not feeling well and when she tries to get out of bed she goes towards Jack, not Nathan...guess she knew who was more likely to catch her ;).

You know, it's so interesting that you say that because one of the vivid images I remember from the first season finale is how future Allison in the alternative timeline exited the bed from her left (that is, from the perspective of someone lying in bed) and how when Jack woke up in the restored timeline, he had that intense feeling of regret upon waking up and finding the spot to the left of him empty. In this brief moment, she's exiting the bed from the same side (her left). Interesting. wink

It's a shame that Henry and Jack are the only two people who can possibly remember the alternative timeline (and for Jack, it's a large question mark). Allison has no knowledge of it to begin with, so she'll never "remember" those moments they shared in that timeline.

RE: Animations

I've only really made two animations (neither are Eureka-related, though one involves one of the actors from it). This one is a present I made for my mother awhile ago(for whatever strange reason she loved this scene from Voyager), took me ten minutes but that's because I only had the two screenshots on hand (making it look choppy, unfortunately). Once I get the DVDs, I'll look into making a better version with more frames.

I use Jasc Animation Shop 3.

She thinks it's funny. Whatever makes her happy, eh? lol

RE: Animations

I've made a couple - mainly from Voyager, and most of them are on icons. Stuff like The Doc signing You Are my Sunshine and the Doc going "et tu, Tuvok?!" :)

Heh, the second one reminds me a little of Virtuoso because he almost looks like he's talking to himself. I like them. :D

Could the Eureka one be posted along with credit to the maker?
