Is Ed still working or retired?
Just asking as since he got married he seems to have dropped off the radar, or maybe he really did disappear into an alternate timeline ...

Lol. No, Ed is still working. You can take a look at his resume here.

I haven't heard anything official. I'm assuming he's still working, but he may be choosing roles more selectively, or he may be spending more time with his personal life than before and therefore working to balance his career with his family. I don't think we've heard the last of him though.

It's worth noting that 'The Caller' JUST finished post-production last month. (They finished location work in December.) Judging by his IMDB entry, he's never been one to schedule one job right on top of or behind another....he seems to like having breaks. He is very involved with surfing competitively and apparently likes to have some of his time for that. (Frankly, I was surprised he went to work on 'The Caller' so soon after 'The Beautiful Life' folded.)
To the original poster - let the guy have a break to chill and relax - :-). I'm sure we'll see him in something soon.

OP here. I wasn't demanding he do more work right now, I was simply asking if he was working still or retired, one never knows in this business.
If it's not okay to ask a simple question and not be pulled up over it then I won't post to the forums again.

I agree, Mary. He certainly does like having time for things he likes, like riding his cycle or playing with his dog. It's important to not get too caught up in your career to lose sight of what makes you happy.
Easy, Nathanslady. We're all friends here. It may have come off a bit rough the way Mary wrote it, but I'm sure she wasn't getting on your case - hence the smiley face. It can be hard sometimes to tell what someone means over the internet, but nobody here was thinking you were demanding anything. This is a relaxed environment. You don't have to worry about being attacked by anybody. When in doubt, it's safe to assume the comment was harmless.

I didn't think my reply was rough at all (even stuck a smiley in there!)...I do apologize, NL, if it came off that way. I'm a huge EQ fan myself....as you can probably tell by all the links to various EQ stuff I've posted round these parts, LOL.
Hint to other fans: if you google "Ed Quinn Surfing" on image search, you can sometimes find really cool pics of him on his board.... and, in a very strange kind of scienc-y coincidence, there's actually a groundbreaking physicist who spends most of his spare time surfing and doing extreme sports. His name is Garrett Lisi, and he's regarded with the same kind of awe Einstein was back in the day. It's not a question of IF the guy will get a Nobel, it's a question of WHEN. He'd make a great guest on Eureka. (If Steven Hawking could do an episode of TNG, they can get some real science superstars on Eureka, surely! That would be COOL.)
Rambled enough now. Spent the weekend helping move my mother-in-law into a nursing home and I'm wiped.

I hope EQ will do an interview and explain the timing behind his decision to leave. I don't see any news of him being in upcoming projects, so I hope he didn't give up a bird hand for two in a tree. That said, I would love to see him be super successful in films. Heck, he better be, after the tempest he's created for the fans, writers and producers of this show.

Well, the timing of his decision makes sense to me. I just wish the writers would allow for his character to come back and give Nathan the same qualities he used to have. I know people get mad because we spend so much time bellyaching over the great loss of Nathan, but I think he was an extremely important part of the show and provided some things that simply can't be replaced. I love Eureka, and Nathan was a strong part of Eureka. I hope Ed is successful in whatever films or series he works on in the future. They'll be lucky to have him.

He's been on a series of Vodka commercials (forget the brand) that shows an almost black & white set. The guys are in Black Tie. In one they are standing in the rain, but give the cab to the ladies who just left the bar.
